More and Better Jobs for Women: Decent Work for Women’s Empowerment in Turkey Project
This study conducted by the ILO-year partnership in 2014, ‘More and Better Jobs for Women: Decent Work for Women’s Empowerment in Turkey’ was prepared during the project. The main purpose of the study was to make a critical evaluation of existing new entrepreneurial education programs based on gender and to identify strategies for better application. Training was provided to examine how services, other than training (mentoring, incubation services, and others), could be integrated into training by contacting institutions and organizations, and holding meetings with representatives. The data obtained was interpreted to reveal the gender perspectives that are inherent in the design and implementation of existing training programs and to show how to achieve a more effective and inclusive program, especially in terms of promoting womens’ entrepreneurship. For this purpose, a general SWOT analysis was conducted, and then the service delivery methodology, curriculum and training techniques were also evaluated. The last section summarizes the ways in which training programs should be improved for a more successful implementation of women’s entrepreneurship.
