Sustaining Self-employment for Disadvantaged Entrepreneurs
Authored by Robert Blackburn and David Smallbone, and issued by OECD, in 2017, Sustaining Self-employment for Disadvantaged Entrepreneurs, addresses the issues and barriers faced by ‘disadvantaged entrepreneurs’ – women, youths, seniors, unemployed, disabled, ethnic minorities and immigrants who aim to create and/or run a business. It emphasises nevertheless that these groups can turn their own experiences and needs into a market advantage. This publication also provides a set of policy recommendations to promote the sustainability of the businesses created by under-represented groups.
